Valery Falkov, Head of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, launched the production of the KoviVac vaccine. It was developed by a group of young Russian scientists at the Research Center named after M.P. Chumakov of the Russian Academy of Sciences, for the prevention of coronavirus infection. The drug received a registration certificate from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Valery Falkov examined the production buildings of the Center, after which he personally launched the production of the first batch of vaccine ampoules labeled 0001. Thus, the third Russian vaccine was put into the stream of commerce and will appear in the regions in a few days.
