September 30 is the Day of Reunification of the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Zaporozhye region and Kherson region with the Russian Federation.
On this day a year ago, in the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, together with the heads of the DPR, LPR, parts of the Kherson region and Zaporozhye, signed agreements on the accession of these territories to Russia.
Dear Colleagues!
The admission of new regions into Russia, based on the historical commonality of peoples living on their territory, was the result of the expression of the will of millions of people and the exercise by them of their inalienable right to freely and without outside interference determine their political status.
I would like to congratulate everyone on this new holiday of our unity and brotherhood!
Today, the contribution of each of us to the development of the territories that have become part of Russia is significant. The formation of a single scientific and educational space together with the new regions is one of the most important tasks of their systemic integration into the Russian Federation.
For RTU MIREA, it is important to work with the students of the new republics, in order to help the young people take advantage of the educational system and youth policy of our country, to share the ideals of patriotism and the preservation of cultural and historical heritage.
