On October 20, Sergei Romanovich Ermakov and Andrei Konstantinovich Rybnikov, professors of the Institute of Information Technologies, visited the University of Information Sciences (Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas, UCI) in Havana, the capital of the Republic of Cuba.
UCI is located in the Vahai district of Havana. The university was founded in 2002 at the proposal of the leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro. At the undergraduate level, UCI offers majors in information science engineering, bioinformatics, cybersecurity, and a short-term program in network management and information security. In addition, at the master's level, the university organizes various courses and programs in full-time, part-time and distance learning forms, the purpose of which is to complement, deepen or update students' professional education. Master's programs include master's programs in IT project management, software quality and advanced computer science, as well as a doctoral program in computer science.
At the beginning of the visit of the delegation from RTU MIREA, a welcoming meeting was held with the participation of Sergei Ermakov and Andrey Rybnikov. Also, the scholars and researchers listed below took part in the event:

At the meeting, the prospects for partnership in science and research between representatives of UCI and RTU MIREA, the exchange of scientific practices and real, practical projects were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, professors from RTU MIREA, together with the colleagues from UCI and Rossotrudnichestvo, took a tour of the university campus. The campus includes many residential buildings and educational, scientific, household, sports and other objects and facilities on an area of 268 hectares.
The UCI administration expressed its readiness to cooperate with RTU MIREA.
