Representatives of RTU MIREA took part in the discussion of youth initiatives of Russia and Africa

Representatives of RTU MIREA took part in the expert session “Current agenda for political and economic research on the African continent. Designing youth initiatives for the Russia-Africa forum.”

On July 4, political and economic research on the African continent and the design of youth initiatives for the Russia-Africa forum were discussed at the site of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, compatriots living abroad, and international humanitarian cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo). The mastermind of the meeting was the African Business Initiative Union.

The session was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad Adam Bechir Mahmoud, as well as experts from the Russian International Affairs Council, the Valdai International Club and leading Russian universities. On behalf of RTU MIREA, the event was attended by E.A. Slezkina, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education and Chayo Fernandez Martin, master's degree course student, citizen of Equatorial Guinea.

The event participants emphasized Russia’s role in the socio-economic development of Africa and analyzed the emerging opportunities for the self-actualization of African youth. Students from Ghana, Mali, Equatorial Guinea and Mozambique made presentations on the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between countries in education, business and culture.
