RTU MIREA received an award in the special nomination of the RB Digital Awards-2024

On February 12, the celebratory awarding procedure of the winners of the RB Digital Awards 2024 took place. The award in the special nomination “For the best case in education according to the “Basis” version was received by MIREA - Russian Technological University. At the ceremony, the University was represented by Nataliya Borisovna Golovanova, deputy of the first vice-rector.

RB Digital Awards 2024 - an independent award for companies that use new technologies in business. Basically, the award goes to the leaders in digital transformation, and participation in the award ceremony is an opportunity not only to learn from their experience, but also to meet other experts and exchange contacts with the leading players in the industry. For RTU MIREA receiving an award is a great honor and recognition of the investment in the development of digitalization in Russia.

The University was awarded a prize for the broadest coverage of the students audience under the “DevOps engineer from scratch” education program. The strategic partner of the University in the implementation of the program is the largest integrated provider of digital services and solutions PJSC Rostelecom, while the client (the ordering customer) of the training is JSC Basis. The peculiarity of the course lies in the use of the Basis national software, which covers the entire spectrum of technological processes of building and supporting cloud infrastructure and is the basis for the creation of the greatest part of public information systems.

The DevOps engineer from scratch program is implemented at the Digital Department of RTU MIREA, which is implemented at the University as part of the strategic academic leadership Priority 2030 program.

Upon the results of the 2022/2023 academic year, 22 students of RTU MIREA scored the maximum 100 points and entered the list of the best 27 students of Moscow, who got the training on the DevOps engineer from scratch program. In the summer of 2023, an award ceremony was held for the students, during which Vladimir Evgenievich Tatarintsev, director of the development of PJSC Rostelecom strategic projects, specially noted their contribution to the education and training of the representatives of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies of RTU MIREA.

The importance and scale of the results of the work done in the preparation of DevOps-engineers, who make a significant contribution to the creation and development of national digital services, is now confirmed by the RB Digital Awards 2024 received by RTU MIREA.
