The Institute of International Education of RTU MIREA took part in the round table “Russia – China: the image of a modern school teacher”

On March 5, lecturers of the Department of Russian (as a foreign language) of the Institute of International Education took part in the round table discussion “Russia – China: the image of a modern school teacher”, organized by the Russian Academy of Education, the Chinese National Academy of Educational Sciences and the Women’s Council of the Russian-Chinese Friendship, Peace and Development Committee. The aim of the scientific meeting was to develop cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities, conduct joint research and projects in the field of education, and connect the education systems of the two countries.

Olga Yuryevna Vasilyeva, President of the Russian Academy of Education, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening of the round table, highlighting the main areas of research in the field of modern teacher education, such as the development of mentoring, the creation of conditions for obtaining lifelong education, the problems of advanced training for teachers, the digitalization of modern education, practice orientation in the field of teaching and others.

The Auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Women’s Council of the Russian-Chinese Friendship, Peace and Development Committee S. Orlova noted the trend towards strengthening international relations between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, and towards strengthening cooperation in all areas, including education.

The creation of a multipolar world that implies respect for the interests of each participant in international relations, the preservation of traditional family values, and the desire to improve the quality of education represent the areas, the visions on the development of which in People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation largely coincide.

Representatives of Beijing Normal University (BNU), the Development Department of Southeast University, Shaanxi Normal University (SNU), Harbin Normal University (HNU), M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Pedagogical State University and others took part in the discussion.
