Rector of RTU MIREA visited the University of La Gran Colombia with an official visit

The delegation of RTU MIREA headed by Stanislav Alekseevich Kudzh, Rector of the University, visited the University of La Gran Colombia to discuss topical issues and prospects for the development of partnership in science and higher education between the two universities. The delegation also included I.S. Solunova, Deputy First Vice Rector and D.A. Karpov, Head of the Department of General Informatics.

During the meeting, La Gran Colombia University demonstrated projects and developments in the field of geo-informatics and cartography, biotechnology and chemical technology. The program also included a visit to the meteorological station and the station of global navigation satellite system located in the territory of the La Gran Colombia University.

The participants of the meeting discussed a wide range of issues relating to the implementation of joint research projects in the priority areas of activity between the universities, and exchanged views on the most topical issues of international cooperation in science and education.

Upon the results of the meeting a memorandum of understanding was signed to develop international academic mobility programs, including dual degree programs, as well as the implementation of joint research projects. It is noteworthy that the diplomas of Colombian universities are recognized in the United States, and this cooperation gives our graduates a unique opportunity to find a job in their professional area.
