RTU MIREA held a Door Open Day for all educational programs

On April 7, a Door Open Day was held for all educational programs of MIREA - Russian Technological University, which was attended by more than 2.5 thousand applicants and their parents.

During the event, all institutes of RTU MIREA demonstrated their latest developments and presented educational programs highlighting the current areas of activity of students and graduates. The College of Programming and Cybersecurity spoke about the specialties that the students are getting education in and the prospects for continuing studies at the University in higher education programs. Applicants also had the opportunity to learn about the educational programs of the Advanced Engineering School of RTU MIREA which trains new generation engineers for microwave electronics enterprises.

During the entire event, interactive zones and stands of the University Admissions Committee, the Altair Children's Technopark of RTU MIREA, career guidance programs, the Institute of Pre-University Training, the Office of Educational and Social Work, the Military Training Center, the Institute of International Education, the Career Center, representatives of partner enterprises, and many others were working actively.

During the event, visitors could take part in more than 25 different master classes, interactive events, and educational lectures. They could also attend a choice of more than 10 different excursion programs. Specialists from the Institute of Artificial Intelligence demonstrated robot dogs to the applicants. The Institute of Advanced Technologies and Industrial Programming invited the visitors to the circuit design corner and laser center. The Institute of Information Technologies organized virtual and augmented reality zones. The Institute of Radio Electronics and Informatics held an exhibition of the achievements of the student educational and scientific laboratory “Radiolab”. The Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies demonstrated the work of artificial intelligence and a number of interactive applications based on it. M.V. Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies shared with the schoolchildren the secrets of medicinal plants and some microorganisms. Experts from the Institute of Management Technologies showed how virtual reality and 3D modeling technologies are used even in the humanities at RTU MIREA

Excursions to the laboratories of the Institute of Information Technologies (more than 700 visitors) and the Cybersport Robotics Center of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence evoked great interest.

The visitors had the opportunity to meet potential employers - industrial partners of RTU MIREA, who also participated in the event. The young people received first-hand information about employment opportunities from representatives of such companies as:

Apart from that, among the employers at the Doors Open Day was Istok State Scientific Production JSC. There is a branch of RTU MIREA located on its premises in the town of Fryazino. Representatives of the branch told the visitors about the programs and admission rules. Directly from the employer, schoolchildren learned about employment opportunities at the enterprise Istok State Scientific Production JSC named after Shokin which is the largest enterprise in the north-east of the Moscow region.

The coffee robot treated visitors who were tired and hungry to some delicious coffee and cookies with the RTU MIREA logo.

In addition to educational programs, applicants got familiarized with the diverse student life of the university at the Center for Culture and Creativity, the Trade Union Organization and the MIREA Student Union and its divisions.
