RTU MIREA hosted an online meeting with representatives of the Mingsin University of Science and Technology (Taiwan)

On September 30, the management of RTU MIREA met with delegates of the Minghsin University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) represented by Kuo-Wei Liu, President of the University, Hsin-Te Liao, Dean of the International and Cross-Strait Operations Division, Chia-Ming Hsueh, Director of the International and Cross-Strait Education Center, Ming-Feng Lu, Dean of the Semiconductor School, Pao-Keng Yang, Chairman of the Department of Electro-Optical Engineering, Wei-Lien Lu, Director of Education of the Representative Office of the Taipei-Moscow Coordination Commission for Economic and Cultural Cooperation in Moscow (TMECCC) and Song-Jeng Huang, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Representative Office of Taiwan.

On the part of RTU MIREA, the meeting was represented by Alexander Sergeevich Sigov, President of RTU MIREA, Irina Sergeevna Solunova, Deputy First Vice-Rector, Liudmila Aleksandrovna Komkova, Head of the International Relations Department, and Lyubov Olegovna Kulikovich, Coordinator of International Academic Mobility Programs.

The meeting discussions focused on the possibilities to implement a joint double degree educational program for undergraduate students of both universities; issues related to internships, scholarship programs for students and the teaching staff of the University, as well as the organization of a summer school on the premises of RTU MIREA for students of Minghsin University and a winter school for students of RTU MIREA in Taiwan.

The parties mapped out the areas of mutual interests in joint research, namely, research in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, robotics and information technologies.

The meeting ended with a discussion of the priority areas and further steps to be taken to promote cooperation.
