RTU MIREA offered recommendations On measures to identify and support talented children and youth at the events of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS member states in the Republic of Armenia

From 11 to 13 October, in the Republic of Armenia, the city of Kapan, two important events were held within the framework of the CIS cooperation.

Rakhmonzoda Abdullo Kurbonali, Chairman of the Council, Chairman of the Committee on Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, made a welcoming speech at a regular meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States. He noted that the meeting was very special, as it was organized on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and he emphasized that it was held in the 2021 youth capital of the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting, 12 issues were considered, including:

• Development in the CIS member states of the laws defining the foundations of state youth policy;
• Work on the Action Plan for 2021-2022 for the implementation of the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States for 2021-2030 and the Action Plan for 2021-2023 for the Implementation of the Concept for the Development of Cooperation of the CIS Member States in Support of the Youth Volunteer Movement;
• Results of the International Youth Project of the CIS Member States 100 Ideas for the CIS, implemented in 2020-2021;
• Draft concept of recommendations On measures to identify and support talented children and youth prepared by MIREA – Russian Technological University;
• Preparation of a joint sociological survey of the CIS member states to study the situation of youth initiated by the Russian side.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Russian Federation, specifically:

• Denis Valerievich Ashirov, Director of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation;
• Stanislav Alekseevich Kudzh, Rector of RTU MIREA, Head of the base organization of the CIS member states for working with youth;
• Grigory Valerievich Petushkov, Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations, RTU MIREA, Chairman of the Association of Public Associations “National Council of Youth and Children’s Associations of Russia”;
• Dmitry Alekseevich Bunkin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations, RTU MIREA.

Grigory Petushkov was elected chairman of the meeting.

In parallel with the meeting of the Council, the final session of the International Youth Project 100 Ideas for the CIS took place. At the final session, the Russian delegation was represented by 10 participants-graduates of the All-Russian competition My country – my Russia. As a result of the projects defense, three students became winners of the finals of the International Youth Project of the CIS Member States 100 Ideas for the CIS, namely: Pavel Berezhansky, Yuliana Zhagaparova and Vladislav Zaikin. Andrey Vsevolodovich Timoshenko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of RTU MIREA, acted as an expert in the competition finals.

The project 100 Ideas for the CIS was initiated in 2013 and is aimed to promote the activities of youth of the CIS member states getting them involved in the solution of socio-economic, research and innovative issues, establishing and developing relationships between participants sharing common interests.
