The results of the International Olympiad in Foreign Languages among university students of non-linguistic specialties held at RTU MIREA have been summed up

From April 3 to April 12, the International Olympiad in Foreign Languages among university students with non-linguistic specialties was held at RTU MIREA.

In 2024, about 220 applications for the Olympiad were filed by students of universities from all over the Russian Federation and neighboring countries: from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Neftekamsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Samara, Tomsk, Altai Territory, Ivanovo Region, Lipetsk Region, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Tver Region, Tyumen Region, Yaroslavl Region, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of Dagestan, the Chechen Republic, Kamchatka Territory, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as from China, Georgia, Turkey, Armenia and Austria.

Upon the results of the Olympiad, teams from the universities listed below became winners in the Video Competition:

• Belarusian-Russian University

• Institute of Economics and Trade of the Tajik State University of Commerce

The English language competition:

The German language competition :

1st place: Emilia Aleksandrovna Bayer (Federal State Budget Educational Institution of Higher Education “Ivanovo State University of Chemistry and Technology”)

2nd place: Vyacheslav Maksimovich Timokhin (Federal State Budget Educational Institution of Higher Education “MIREA – Russian Technological University”)

3rd place: Ekaterina Yanovna Mosina (Federal State Budget Educational Institution of Higher Education “Industrial University of Tyumen”)

At the end of the Olympiad, participants were offered excursions around the University. The students got acquainted with the Cosmocenter and visited the laboratories of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and the Institute of Information Technologies.

At the end of the Olympiad, G.V. Petushkov, Vice-Rector of the University, awarded the winners with diplomas and valuable prizes.
