Young people of Russia and Tajikistan discussed investments in human capital

On November 5, 2020, Russia - Tajikistan: Investments in Human Capital youth meeting was held online. The meeting has become a floor for the dialogue aimed at the development of international cooperation and it has opened up possibilities for the youth of Russia and Tajikistan.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, MIREA – Russian Technological University, the core organization of the CIS member states for youth work, the Information and Analytical Center for the Study of Social and Political Processes in the Post-Soviet Space under the auspices of Lomonosov Moscow State University (IAC MSU) Ia-centr.ru, the Association of Public Associations National Council of Youth and Children’s Associations of Russia, and the branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Dushanbe.

The meeting opened with the welcoming words from the organizers and guests of honor from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Committee on Youth and Sports Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The key-note session was devoted to the opportunities that Russian and Tajik organizations offer for the young people of the countries. The representatives of the leading Russian and Tajik foundations spoke about the grant activities and the support programs. Roman Grishenin, Deputy Executive Director of the Fund for Support of Public Diplomacy named after A.M. Gorchakov, Firuz Saidkhadzhaev, Senior Specialist for Economic Development of UNDP in Tajikistan, Komol Rakhimov, Advisor to the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States (IFES), Sulaimon Kurbonov, Deputy Director of the Business Incubator of Tajikistan, Dilovar Boboev, Chairman of the Youth Society of Students of Tajikistan (MOST) and others addressed the meeting. The participants in the meeting also enjoyed an opportunity to talk about their projects and share their knowledge and expertise.
During the interactive part of the event, Andrey Gorbunov, Project Manager of the Fund for Support of Public Diplomacy named after A.M. Gorchakov, gave a master class on social design. The speaker talked about how to successfully implement projects – from the initial idea to the funds gathering and the implementation of the project.

Young people aged 18 to 35 from Russia and Tajikistan participated in the discussion which involved students and graduate students, young specialists, youth leaders and project managers of youth public organizations and associations interested in implementing social initiatives in their countries.
