Educational Activity

The University offers a wide range of educational services for different categories of citizens: from schoolchildren who have not yet decided on their aspirations, to mature and experienced specialists, scientists and teachers.

Education levels

The University provides training at all levels of higher education: bachelor's degree, specialty, master's degree and training of highly qualified personnel (postgraduate study).

  • To be expanded

The level of education is a completed cycle of education, characterized by a certain unified set of requirements (Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation” dated December 29, 2014 No. 273-FZ, Article 2).

In the Russian Federation, within the framework of higher education, the following levels of professional education are established:

Bachelor's/specialty – these are the initial levels of the higher education system, when it is possible to get training after receiving either a document on secondary general education, or a document on secondary vocational training, or a document on higher education and certificate of qualifications.

During the training course for the bachelor's degree, practical skills of students in the professional field are being formed and fundamental training for broader professional skills is provided for; specialty level involves a more narrow and specialized training in a specific subject area.

The term of study for undergraduate programs is 4 years, and training for a qualified specialist – 5 years (depending on the specialty). Upon completion of training, either the qualification “Bachelor”, or the qualification “Specialist” is awarded.

After the bachelor's degree it is possible to continue education in the magistracy, and after the specialty course – in the magistracy or postgraduate studies.

Master's degree is the second level of the three-level higher education system, such training is possible after the receipt of a document on higher education and qualifications. The term of study is 2 years, upon completion of the training, the qualification "Master" is awarded.

After the master’s course one can continue his/her education in the graduate school.

Postgraduate studies are the third level of the three-level system of higher education for qualified personnel with the training period of 3 to 4 years (depending on the area of training). Upon completion of training, the qualification “Researcher. Research Instructor” is awarded.

After graduation from the postgraduate studies and defense of a thesis for the degree of candidate of science, an academic degree of candidate of science is awarded to the postgraduate in the respective specialty of research workers, and a diploma of candidate of science is issued.

Forms of education

Training is conducted in all forms of training - full-time, part-time and by correspondence.

  • To be expanded

The main difference between the forms of training is the duration of training and the number of classroom sessions. As a rule, students combine part-time and education by correspondence with work.

Full-time education is characterized by the maximum number of classes in the classrooms and laboratories of the University.

The part-time form of study is characterized by an extended period of study by six months and an average number of classroom hours 4 to 5 days a week in the evenings.

The correspondence form of study presupposes a period of study extended by six months and a minimum number of classroom hours. Students come to the University twice a year (in January and July). They are given the so-called overview lectures; students carry out laboratory work and take exams and tests. As a rule, students study independently. In some cases, additional classroom lessons can be organized for students living in Moscow (or at the location of the branch) to take in of the educational material better.

The University has a 6-day academic week. Students study according to the established schedule.

Funding of training

Students study both locally, with the training funded by federal budget allocations, and locally, when training is funded by individuals and (or) legal entities on a contractual basis.

  • To be expanded

    With the budget funds

    Training of budget-funded students

All expenses relating to the training of students enrolled to study at the University within the admission targets (for “budget places”) are funded from the federal budget. Students who successfully cope with the program are awarded scholarships.

    Target-oriented enrollment

In case of targeted enrollment, the student enters into an agreement on targeted education with the body or organization with which the University has an agreement on targeted enrollment.

With the funds of individuals and (or) legal entities

    Training on a contractual basis

Tuition costs are paid by the student or his parents (legal representatives) in accordance with the concluded agreement.

Students studying on a contractual basis enjoy all the rights on an equal basis with the “budgetary” students, with the exception of scholarships and social payments. Students can be transferred to budgetary places in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
