Innovation studies is a unique area of training that allows students to acquire at the same time the knowledge, skills and abilities of an engineer, manager and economist. Students acquire skills in managing innovative processes and projects, including skills in creating competitive production of goods and services, adapting production and economic systems to innovations, mastering and using new products, services, technologies and resources.

Within the framework of the program, specialists are trained to introduce new ideas into production process to obtain a competitive and profitable product. Graduates of this program are able to turn new ideas and concepts of a potential product, business process, marketing, technology, materials and components into a commercial project in order to maximize profits and optimize risks within the overall strategy of the business system. The unique nature of such training is accounted for by the two merging areas: natural science and engineering. Therefore, graduates of the program can work as project managers, business planners, directors in the technical divisions of enterprises.
