Technocoworking

In autumn 2021, Technocoworking center was opened at RTU MIREA.

The idea of creating Technocoworking center goes back to 2018. By that time, teams of students from the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and the Institute of Information Technology took first place in hackathons at the national and international levels. It was decided to create a center that would have sufficient space and would be equipped with modern technology and hardware for research and technical creative activity of the students.

Technocoworking consists of:

  • Lectorium;
  • Briefing Center;
  • Center for Digital Prototyping;
  • Three computer classes.

All rooms of Technocoworking center are equipped with up-to-date multimedia and technical devices.

Lectorium and the Briefing Center, with an area of about 150 square meters each, allow for lectures, conferences, scientific and technical competitions, hackathons, olympiads and exhibitions.

In the Center for Digital Prototyping one can implement any idea for the manufacture of prototype designs for robotics devices, the Internet of Things and electronics.

The center is equipped with:

  • FDM 3D printers
  • Photopolymer 3D printers
  • SDL 3D printer
  • 3D scanner
  • Milling machine
  • Laser cutter
  • Automated embroidery machine.

The computer classes of Technocoworking center are equipped with modern high-performance computers compatible with Linux, macOS and Windows 11 operating systems. These classes allow students to complete projects, and employees to conduct classes in computer science, developing mobile applications for iOs and Android, system administration, CAD, etc.

Technocoworking at RTU MIREA is designed to perform the following tasks:

  • research activity of students outside the curriculum;
  • platform for holding events: scientific and technical competitions, hackathons, online broadcasts, conferences, etc.
  • classes on the main curriculum.
  • additional classes and courses outside the curriculum on modern high-performance equipment.
