Teaching Staff
The educational process at the University is provided by a highly qualified teaching staff which includes over 2000 people. Among them there are about 360 professors and doctors of science, over 1100 associate professors and candidates of science.
The University prides in having 5 full members and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, about 100 members of other academies, over 40 laureates of the State Prize and the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation.
At different times, such well-known scientists and designers as Academician N.A. Pilyugin, chief designer of control systems for the first missiles; Academician V.S. Semenikhin, leader of the team creating the first automated control systems on a national scale; A.P. Reutov, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the development of the automated landing system for Buran reusable spacecraft, and many others.
