The Order of Honour is a state award of the Russian Federation, established by Presidential Decree No. 442 of March 2, 1994. It is awarded, among other things, for achievements in research activities and for merits in improving the Russian education system. On April 16, 2025, the team of RTU MIREA was awarded the Order for its significant contribution to training highly qualified specialists and many years of diligent work. The Order of the Red Banner of Labour was a civilian award of the USSR given for labour achievements. It was established by a Resolution of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR on September 7, 1928, to reward great labour merits before the Soviet state and society in production, science, culture, literature, art, public education, healthcare, state, public, and other areas of labour activity. On February 11, 1971, the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology named after M. V. Lomonosov (now RTU MIREA) was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour by a Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. The award was granted to the institute for its merits in training specialists for the national economy and advancing scientific research.
