15.03.06 Mechatronics and robotics

Alumni can professionally design and explore mechatronic and robotic systems, including self-contained robots, data-sensor units, process execution and control modules, their mathematical platforms, algorithms and software; they are also employed in modeling, designing, conducting experimental research in, debugging and operating the associated instruments and tools.

Such systems are used in automated manufacturing, extreme environmental conditions, natural disaster response, transport, agriculture, healthcare and other fields.

Level of education:
Bachelor’s degree
Form of training:
Full-time (daytime)
Venue of training:
Moscow
Entrance exams:
— Mathematics (major)
— Russian language
— Physics/Information science and ICT
Programs, specializations:
Self-contained robots
Robots and mechatronic devices with intelligent control systems are increasingly used in space and deep-sea exploration, accident and disaster management, and in a number of other areas where a robot is expected to independently guide itself and make its own decisions.
The Department’s training and research laboratories are equipped with modern equipment and software. There are four laboratories operating as part of the “Industry 4.0: Digital Robotized Manufacture” educational center. The laboratories are equipped with industry-standard control systems and robots, as well as the tools required to sensitize and model them. Research and development is conducted at a testing facility equipped with mobile robots and multi-copters with intelligent control systems.
Alumni can be employed as
  • developer of software and algorithmic tools for intelligent systems to control mobile robots, drones and other objects
  • complex object simulator developer
  • microprocessor-based control and data processing system developer
  • wireless system hardware developer
  • researcher in intelligent data management and processing systems
  • instructor of information science, modeling and control
  • systems integrator of industrial automation systems, projects of the Smart Home type, etc.
