Robots and mechatronic devices with intelligent control systems are increasingly used in space and deep-sea exploration, accident and disaster management, and in a number of other areas where a robot is expected to independently guide itself and make its own decisions.
The Department’s training and research laboratories are equipped with modern equipment and software. There are four laboratories operating as part of the “Industry 4.0: Digital Robotized Manufacture” educational center. The laboratories are equipped with industry-standard control systems and robots, as well as the tools required to sensitize and model them. Research and development is conducted at a testing facility equipped with mobile robots and multi-copters with intelligent control systems.
