About the Institute
The Institute of Information Technologies is a structural division of MIREA – Russian Technological University, training bachelors and masters in priority areas: software engineering, applied computer science, computer science and computer technology, applied mathematics. Within these areas, a wide range of bachelor's and master's programs are being implemented covering all possible areas of interest and areas of employment for advanced and promising professionals in information and communication technologies. Graduates of the Institute who have devoted considerable effort to mastering the educational programs provided to them, are easily employed in commercial and government structures and organizations in the Russian Federation and abroad.
Existing expertise and potential, professional staff and modern materials and technical equipment, involvement of leading IT specialists in teaching and science and research projects, as well as a wide range of areas of cooperation with government and commercial enterprises of the Russian Federation and other countries ensure sustainable positive dynamics in the development of the Institute of Information Technologies.

Conditions for training
Students study on the basis of modern computer centers and training laboratories, which are equipped with industrial facilities and devices from Symanitron, Cisco, Siemens, OMRON, Samsung, etc. Future IT specialists have all the conditions for effective study, implementation of research projects and developments, and creation of their own products.
Qualified teaching staff
Highly qualified lecturers and instructors are involved in the educational process, most of whom have academic degrees and academic titles. Among the teaching staff, there are many practitioners who work in their professional capacity in various companies and pass on the most up-to-date knowledge to students.
Modern approach to teaching
The Institute's programs fully meet the needs of today’s employers. The course “CCENT. Routing and Switching” of Cisco Networking Academy is integrated into the Institute’s curriculum. In 2017, the Samsung IoT Academy was launched allowing students to study advanced IT in the field of the Internet of Things.
Additional education
On the basis of the Institute, a number of joint programs of additional education are being implemented with the giants of the IT industry: Microsoft, Huawei, 1C-Bitrix, SAP, Samsung. One of the leading Cisco academies in Russia operates on the basis of the Institute.
Each semester, on Saturdays, partner companies conduct a number of additional courses for successful students of the Institute. The goal of the Institute is in-depth training and employment of successful students. The goal of companies is to popularize their solutions and recruit personnel. The aim set by successful students is greater self-development and auspicious employment. Strong student performance
Students have the opportunity to take part in various hackathons, forums and specialized competitions. Among the achievements of the students there are victories and prizes at the hackathon of the Procter&Gamble corporation “P&G IT Hackathon”, Europe’s largest international hackathon for application development Junction, the Honor Cup competition, and others.
