The Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies is a structural unit of MIREA – Russian Technological University, which trains students in the field of information security, protection of national cyberspace, economic security, legal support for national security and law enforcement, information technologies and software systems, special and analytical instrumentation.
The Institute heads the regional branch of the Academic Methodological Association (UMO) on information security in the Central Federal District, and is part of the University League of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
As an educational and research center, the Institute is the undisputed leader in the field of training highly professional specialists providing all levels and areas of cybersecurity, conducting promising, including interdisciplinary, research, with the participation of strategic partners, which determines the unconditional demand for graduates and the successful construction of a professional growth trajectory.

The Institute’s own scientific developments
The developments of the Institute’s research centers and laboratories are regularly demonstrated at international and national exhibitions and forums.
One of the major projects that has been implemented is special cloud platforms. This includes providing each team of students with their own isolated infrastructure, which allows students to try themselves in the role of an active specialist in the field of information security.
Practice-oriented training
The Institute has 19 laboratories and educational and research centers.
High performance indicators mark the research and projects of the Inter-institutional Center for Monitoring Cyber Threats (Megalaboratory), the Project Office, the Educational and Scientific center “Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in Judicial Activities”, the Educational and Training Center “GosSOPKA” based on the “Ampire” software and hardware complex, and a forensic laboratory.
The Center for Research on Generative Content and Attacks on Artificial Intelligence allows for projects ranging from using various artificial intelligence models to create games to detecting the authenticity of audio and video files.
