The Additive Polymer Technologies Center is a Megalaboratory operated by the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Plastics and Polymer Composites at the M.V. Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies.

The center implements a complete R&D cycle, from the analysis of input materials and computational prediction of structure–property relationships, to the development of polymer composite materials and filaments, including high-temperature PEEK-class materials used in FDM and FGF printing of complex-geometry components.

For student instruction, a dedicated classroom with 20 workstations is equipped for FDM-based 3D design and fabrication, featuring:

  • 10 desktop 3D printers from OOO TotalZ;
  • 10 modern computers for part design and 3D printing;
  • Specialized software for part design and 3D printing

The center is also equipped with a high-temperature industrial 3D printer, Total Z AnyForm 450-PRO (2X) (VAC) (HOT+) (FGF) (VIDEOLAN), which is used to produce high-precision prototypes from high-temperature super-engineering thermoplastics and their polymer composites via 3D FDM printing with calibrated filament, as well as large-volume parts directly from granulated super-engineering thermoplastics and composites using 3D FGF printing.
