Admission Procedure

RTU MIREA admission requirements for foreigners
The training can be state-funded as well as contract-based depending on the citizenship, «compatriot» status and educational background of the Applicant.

Foreign citizens may apply for state-funded openings within the quota established by the Government of the Russian Federation (by assignment of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation).

    Information on legalization and verification of the equivalence of foreign educational certificates is available on the website of the National Information Center(Glaveskperttsentr). 
   


Foreign citizens submit the following documents to the Institute of International Education for admission to the first year of the BACHELOR'S DEGREE PROGRAM:

  • the original certificate of secondary (complete) general education (or the original education certificate of a foreign state recognized as the equivalent of the certificate of secondary (complete) general education (high school diploma) in the Russian Federation and the annex thereto specifying the subjects on the academic curriculum;
  • a notarized translation into Russian of the above-mentioned foreign education document and all its annexes;
  • passport (an ID);
  • a notarized translation into Russian of the passport (an ID);
  • a foreign education recognition certificate (except for the cases when recognition of the document is not required);
  • 6 identical 3x4 cm photographs on matte paper.

Foreign citizens submit the following documents to the Institute of International Education for admission to the first year of the MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAM:

  • the original certificate of higher education (or the original education certificate of a foreign state recognized as the equivalent of the certificate of a bachelor's, specialist's, or master's degree in the Russian Federation and the annex thereto specifying the subjects on the academic curriculum;
  • a notarized translation into Russian of the above-mentioned foreign education document and all its annexes;
  • passport (an ID);
  • a notarized translation into Russian of the passport (an ID);
  • a foreign education recognition certificate (except for the cases when recognition of the document is not required);
  • 6 identical 3x4 cm photographs on matte paper.

Each foreign state education certificate (except education certificates of the countries with which the Russian Federation has concluded agreements on mutual recognition of education) the Applicant should have a document confirming the equivalence of the educational certificate to obtain which, please, apply to the Expert Center (Glaveskperttsentr) of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Education and Science at the address: 51 Lyusinovskaya St., 115093 Moscow, Russia.

After admission to the University, foreign citizens are required to provide the following documents

to the Institute of International Education:

  • medical certificate issued by the official health authority of the sending country, with translation into Russian, or the 086-U form;
  • HIV negative certificate (document);
  • blood test for syphilis;
  • X-ray examination certificate.

to International Relations Department:

  • passport (an ID);
  • a migration card with a stamp on crossing the border of the Russian Federation specifying the purpose of  arrival - “study” for full-time students;
  • visa (for study) for citizens from countries with a visa regime;
  • a voluntary medical insurance policy (if it is not available, it is possible to obtain one in the International Relations Office);
  • 2 identical 3x4 cm color photographs on matte paper;
  • residence permit, temporary residence permit (if available);
  • TIN (if available);
  • personal insurance policy number (if available);
  • copy of employment record (if available);
  • marriage certificate, child's birth certificate (if any);
  • personal profile (to be completed in A-304).
