On November 19-20, the university hosted the 18th International Biotechnology Forum “RosBioTech-2025” on its premises.

The key theme this year was international scientific and technological cooperation in creating a bioeconomy and sustainable development.

The plenary session, titled “Health-Preserving Biotechnologies as Part of Attaining Sustainable Development Goals,” was dedicated to biotechnology’s contribution to sustainable development of a healthy society, opportunities and prospects for the biopharmaceutical industry, development of a functional nutrition market for health preservation, along with international scientific and technological cooperation in biotechnology for healthcare, science, and education.

Another event within the forum was the International Conference “Russian-African Cooperation in Solving Health Preservation and Food Security Tasks,” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations.

A roundtable took place within the conference under the auspices of the BRICS Health Coalition, “Cooperation of Russia, Africa, and the BRICS Alliance in Medicine, Rehabilitation, Health Preservation, and Medical-Humanitarian Education”. Experts from Egypt, the UAE, Mali, Congo, Cameroon, Belarus, Russian government officials, and representatives of nongovernmental, educational, and medical organizations participated. The roundtable was devoted to partnerships in comprehensive rehabilitation, health-preserving technologies, and their integration into Continuing Professional Development programs of the partner countries. Special attention was devoted to ways of supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and some innovative technologies were proposed for their rehabilitation. The discussion served as a timely platform for exchanging innovations and strengthening cooperation between Russian and foreign rehabilitation specialists.

The annual RosBioTech forum is traditionally dedicated to current issues in developing Russia’s scientific and technological complex in biotechnology, establishing scientific, innovative, and business partnerships aimed at commercializing new developments, supporting domestic producers, organizing modern industrial facilities, and promoting competitive next-generation biotechnological products to the market.
