RTU MIREA Representative Attends Russia-Vietnam Academic Forum “75 Years of Cooperation”

From December 11-13, the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics hosted the academic forum “Russia-Vietnam: 75 Years of Cooperation,” commemorating the anniversary and devoted to the 2026 Cross-Year of Science and Education in both nations.

The forum was organized by the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the federal institution Interobrazovanie, the Plekhanov University, along with Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Personnel Training, Academy of Science and Technology, and Embassy in the Russian Federation.

The opening ceremony featured speeches of welcome by Dmitry Chernyshenko, co-chair of the Intergovernmental Russia-Vietnam Commission for Trade, Economic and Technological Cooperation and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia; Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam; Andrei Yatskin, First Vice-Chairman of the RF Federation Council; Konstantin Mogilevsky, deputy minister of science and higher education of Russia; Tran Hong Thai, vice-president of Vietnam’s Academy of Science and Technology, plus a number of senior officials from Russian and Vietnamese ministries, government agencies, and academic institutions.

Aleksandra Yevgenyevna Sizemina, head of the International Relations Directorate, participated in the panel “Socio-Humanitarian Technologies and Cross-Cultural Research,” opened by Mai Hoa, First Secretary of the Vietnam Embassy, and contributed to the roundtable “Russia-Vietnam: Best Practices in Interuniversity Collaboration,” where Russian academics showcased a number of successful joint projects with Vietnamese partners, underscoring the importance of intercultural dialogue and exchanges for strengthening bilateral ties.

On the final day of the forum, its attendees immersed in Vietnam’s rich culture, playing folk games, joining unique master classes, and enjoying a vibrant concert program.

The forum exemplifies how cultural and academic diversity fuels mutually beneficial cooperation, opening new frontiers in science, education, and innovation.
