RTU MIREA Showcased at Major Kazakhstan Education Fairs

26.11.2025

From November 19 to 23, RTU MIREA representatives — E.A. Slezkina, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education, and S.A. Laputin, technician of the interactive VR systems laboratory at RTU MIREA's Altair Children's Technopark — participated in the 24th Kazakhstan International Exhibition "Education and Career." Organized with support from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Education, it drew over 20 delegations from countries near and far, including Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, and China. They also took part in the showcase of leading Russian universities "Study in Russia," held at the Russian House in Astana, featuring 44 universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Omsk, Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod, and other Russian cities.

Over the five days of the fairs, visitors to the RTU MIREA booth received detailed university information: admissions rules, specifics for international applicants, and the full list of programs open to foreign students. Prospective students learned about application deadlines, benefits of studying at the university, including post-graduation employment prospects, and specifically about admissions for Kazakhstan citizens under the Russian Government’s quota for educating foreign nationals and stateless persons.

University representative S.A. Laputin also delivered a master class titled "Getting Started in Mobile App Development in 60 Minutes" for 9th-11th graders at Almaty Lyceum No. 134 and the Russian House in Astana. The high-school students learned about the fundamental principles of mobile app and software product development, including task allocation in teams and use of cross-platform and native frameworks. The interactive class let attendees gain new knowledge and get a taste of mobile app development; the most active received commemorative gifts from RTU MIREA.
