From July 1 to 15, three RTU MIREA students — Maria Nikolskaya, Artur Dvoretsky, and Oleg Skachkov — took part in the Summer School program of the Central China Normal University, aimed at studying the use of artificial intelligence in education, and also got acquainted with Chinese culture.

The program participants worked on group and individual projects throughout the summer school. The topics of the projects were varied, for example:

•         Speech questions and answers;

•         A system of recommendations for writing scientific papers;

•         A task management system using artificial intelligence;

•         An application of questions and answers based on images;

•         An application for online quizzes;

•         Creating an individual learning plan controlled by artificial intelligence;

•         Analysis of specific examples of the implementation of AI in education.

At the end of the training, the interns presented their projects, confirming the successful completion of the program.

The Central China Normal University Summer School not only provided an opportunity to get acquainted with advanced AI technologies and their application in education, but also gave the opportunity to create projects together with students from other countries. As part of the program, the interns also visited leading IT companies and laboratories in Wuhan.

In addition to training, the program participants were able to get immersed in the culture and history of China. Teachers from Central China Normal University conducted excursions around Hubei Province: the cities of Yanxing, Chibi, and Xianning. The students got acquainted with historical sites such as the Hubei Provincial Museum and the Yellow Crane Tower. Every day, they attended lectures and master classes on various topics: tai chi, putonghua, shadow theater, weaving Chinese knots, and others. Participation in the summer school became a valuable experience for RTU MIREA students, opening up new horizons for their future career achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and education.
