On December 10, RTU MIREA hosted a meeting between representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation and Tajik citizens enrolled at the university.
The Embassy was represented by Second Secretary Fathullobek Aslamov and staff member Farrukh Ziyozoda.
From RTU MIREA, the meeting was attended by Deputy First Vice-Rector Irina Sergeyevna Solunova, Head of the Department of the Institute of International Education Irina Vitalyevna Yegoyeva, and Head of the International Activity Support Office of the International Relations Department Olga Semyonovna Sinelshchikova.
At the meeting, the embassy representatives noted the significance of the intergovernmental agreement between the countries, which allows Tajik citizens to receive education at Russian universities under the Russian Government quota. Mr. Aslamov emphasized the importance of good academic performance to obtain specialties in demand for Tajikistan’s economy and urged the students to strictly comply with Russian law, including migration registration rules and requirements for official employment. The discussion also addressed critical topics such as countering extremism and terrorism, with emphasis on vigilance in online communication, device security, and proper use of bank cards.
The conversation also touched on the active participation of Tajik students in the university’s research, creative activities, and sports.
At the end of the meeting, Irina Sergeyevna Solunova, on behalf of the university leadership, thanked the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation for fruitful cooperation and active work with students.
