On November 22, foreign students of the Institute of International Education from Angola, Afghanistan, Burundi, Vietnam, Iran, Moldova, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Equatorial Guinea and other countries took part in an event dedicated to International Students' Day. The wonderful holiday was held in an atmosphere of fun, laughter and friendship.
On the same day, the Postscriptum International Student Theater turned two years old. The theater participants acted as hosts of the evening. The interactive form of the event, lively sincere communication, strong emotions and active participation of guests in various competitions and dance numbers allowed them to maintain contact with the audience throughout the holiday.
Turkmen students gave a presentation about their country, performed the National Anthem of the Republic of Turkmenistan, and a national dance. A student from Burundi recited a beautiful poem about his homeland. Students from Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Angola showed amusing photographs of African nature, told many interesting facts about the history and contemporary life of their countries, performed their national anthems and folk songs. Syrian and Afghan students presented a dance traditionally performed at celebrations in their countries. A student from Moldova performed the famous song "Numa Numa Hey" in Romanian, and all the guests of the celebration sang along cheerfully. And, of course, Russian songs were performed at the evening, both modern and folk. The guests were also offered to taste a traditional treat of the Russian cuisine - bread and salt. The final chord of the evening was a joint performance of the National Anthem of the Russian Federation.
The festivity, organized by the professors of the Department of the Russian Language (as a Foreign Language) and uniting more than a hundred students from different parts of the world, is sure to remain in the hearts of foreign students for a long time.
