RTU MIREA held the XXV International Conference “New discoveries in Magnetism and Magnetic Materials”

MIREA – Russian Technological University once again held the leading international conference on magnetism in the Russian language. The event took place at the University premises from July 1 to July 6. The event was organized by the subsection “Physics of Magnetic Films and Small Particles” of the Magnetism section of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences “Physics of Condensed Matter” together with RTU MIREA and the Department of Physics of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, and the Magnetic Society of Russia (MAGO).

During the conference, 239 presentations were made, and the number of participants was about 1000 people. The Conference brought together magnetologists from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad and from Syktyvkar to Makhachkala, Uzbekistan and Belarus.

The faculty, staff and students of the Nanoelectronics Department of the Institute of Advanced Technologies and Industrial Programming took an active part in the conference, giving scientific presentations and becoming the core of the conference organizing committee.

An impressive plenary presentation on nonlinear magnetoelectric effects in multiferroic heterostructures was given by Professor Yu.K. Fetisov of the Department of Nanoelectronics

L.Yu. Fetisov and V.S. Pokatilov, Professors of the Department, I.V. Gladyshev, S.D. Lavrov, and D.A. Burdin, associate professors, D.V. Savelyev and M.A. Simdyanova, members of the department staff, P.Yu. Avdeev and A.P. Pereverzeva, students of the University, V.I. Musatov, graduate student of RTU MIREA, made presentations on both fundamental and applied problems of magnetism.

Professor Yu.K. Fetisov, A.N. Yurasov, L.Yu. Fetisov moderated a number of sections throughout the six days of the conference. E.V. Bolotina, M.M. Yashin, T.N. Bakhvalova, N.V. Yurasova, students and the staff members of the Department of Nanoelectronics IPTIP: and many others actively worked jointly with the Conference Organizing Committee.

As part of the conference, excursions to the leading laboratories of the Nanoelectronics Department of IPTIP RTU MIREA (Institute of Advanced Technologies and Industrial Programming) were organized, and further scientific cooperation was discussed.
