At the Army-2023 International Military-Technical Forum, an annual round table discussion was held organized by the Military Training Center of RTU MIREA together with the Special Training Center. The main topic discussed was the patriotic education of young people and the process of forming the national military education concept. The round table discussion was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian Guard, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the State Duma Committee for Defense and representatives of the Moscow Higher Educational Center.
Gennady Valentinovich Fisenko, RTU MIREA Vice-Rector, voiced a proposal to introduce a national program of military education, which has already been successfully implemented at the University and could be used in all universities of the country. All participants in the round table discussion endorsed this idea.
The main idea of the event is the introduction of compulsory initial military training at school, military field training and organizing tactical games following the example of Zarnitsa 2.0 project; the formation of professionally trained student battalions with the participation of motivated students of the Military Training Center, and forming advanced classes in intensive military training following the example of the Summer and Winter projects in special forces, which Denis Aleksandrovich Neporozhnev, as the acting head of the Military Training Center of RTU MIREA mentioned in his speech.
Dmitry Dishkavtsov, Head of the STC (Special Training Center) of RTU MIREA, presented modern training programs for special tactical, fire and engineering training, tactical medicine, and UAV control.
The round-table discussion participants decided that it would be necessary to apply the methods and practices developed by the Military Training Center at RTU MIREA, and the experience gained by the Special Training Center during the Special Military Operation, in preparing schoolchildren and students for military service.
A proposal was made to take the initiative to the country's leadership to promote this technique in all military training centers and to create an interuniversity training base on the platform of RTU MIREA Special Training Center for conducting intensive military training courses.
This round table has become one of the most constructive in recent years.
