Commonwealth Youth Esports Games Launch at RTU MIREA

The Commonwealth Youth Esports Games have officially started.

From July 30 to August 1, competitions in Counter-Strike 2 are being held at the RTU MIREA Esports Zone.

At the opening ceremony, welcoming speeches were delivered by:

  • Stanislav Alekseyevich Kudzh, Rector of RTU MIREA;

  • Alexander Sergeyevich Dubkovsky, Advisor of the Department for Cooperation in Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the CIS Executive Committee, who read out a message from CIS Secretary-General Sergei Lebedev;

  • Alexei Valentinovich Shemyakin, Vice-President of the Russian Esports Federation.

This year, teams from seven countries are competing in this onsite tournament:

  • Belarus

  • Kazakhstan

  • Kyrgyzstan

  • Russia

  • Tajikistan

  • Turkmenistan

  • Uzbekistan

As the core youth organization of the CIS states, RTU MIREA organizes the event every year with support from the CIS Youth Council and, starting in 2025, also from the Russian Esports Federation, a nationwide NGO.
