The 12th International Championship of High-Tech Professions “High-Tech: Skills of the Future,” bringing together participants and experts from more than 50 major industrial and manufacturing companies across 17 countries, ended in Yekaterinburg on November 14.
The Rosatom State Corporation team, whose membership grew by 50% this year, included employees from various divisions, including the Electric Power Division. It was represented by staff of the Rosenergoatom central office, the Beloyarsk, Balakovo, Novovoronezh, Kalinin, and Rostov nuclear power plants, Atomenergoremont and its Novovoronezh, Udomlya, Polyarnye Zori, and Balakovo branches, “Consist-OS,” and Rosatom Technical Academy.
In the Network and System Administration professional category, Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Tsvetkov, an employee of “Consist-OS” and a student of the Institute of Information Technologies (training area 09.03.04 “Software Engineering,” program: “IT in the Nuclear Industry”), competed as part of the Rosatom team and won first place.
This year’s competition assignment matched, and in some aspects exceeded, the complexity of the WorldSkills global finals. Aleksandr was so well prepared that he not only completed the task but earned a perfect score. The team’s coach from “Consist-OS” was Sergei Alekseyevich Otlivanov, representing the Beloyarsk Nuclear Power Plant.
This achievement demonstrates how a combination of strong academic grounding and hands-on industry experience enables RTU MIREA students to achieve exceptional results and lay the foundation for professional growth.
