Talented members of RTU MIREA’s Altair Children’s Technopark Fyodor Kuznetsov and Igor Ustinov, who are students of School No. 1329, scored outstanding results both in the selection process for the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO-2025) and in the competition itself.
The final selection rounds for school students took place on June 18–19, when eighteen of the strongest 10th and 11th graders from various regions of Russia competed for the right to represent the country internationally.
At the selection stage, Fyodor Kuznetsov, a member of the Altair Children’s Technopark at RTU MIREA, earned absolute first place with an impressive six-point lead, while Igor Ustinov, who ranked among the top five, missed qualifying for the national team by just half a point.
Fyodor took part in IChO-2025, which was held from July 4 to 19 in the United Arab Emirates and drew over 1,000 school students from 90 countries. He was among the representatives of Russia who were awarded gold medals. In the team rankings, the Russian team placed second, conceding only to China’s team.
We wholeheartedly congratulate Fyodor and his mentors on their well-deserved success!
The winner addressed his Technopark teachers with these words of gratitude:
“Thank you for helping me prepare! I was absolute first with a lead in practical problems, and my lead in the organic chemistry problem was huge, in large part owing to you! Thank you!”
The university also extends its gratitude to the teachers of RTU MIREA’s Altair Children’s Technopark for their invaluable contribution to preparing these talented students. We are proud of our boys and girls and wish them continued success!
