On October 17, representatives of RTU MIREA and the National Institute of Socialist Education and Upbringing of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (INCES) held a virtual working meeting.

The meeting focused on ways to develop mutually beneficial academic partnerships under a previously signed memorandum of understanding.

RTU MIREA was represented by Deputy First Vice-Rector Irina Sergeyevna Solunova, Head of the International Relations Department Aleksandra Yevgenyevna Sizemina, and specialist from the International Cooperation Department Olga Semyonovna Sinelshchikova.

The parties discussed their universities’ key initiatives aimed at expanding interaction in education and science, and drafted proposals to develop scientific and educational cooperation, implement joint projects, activities, academic exchange programs, and to set up online courses for studying Russian and Spanish. Priority areas for cooperation were also identified, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital engineering, robotics and mechatronics, and a digital infrastructure for education.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided to continue the work on cooperation projects and to organize a new working meeting in November this year. The parties plan to discuss concrete steps for organizing joint educational projects and holding an international summer school at RTU MIREA for INCES students.
