Representatives of RTU MIREA — Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education E.A. Slyozkina and Deputy Director of the M.V. Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies I.A. Kartashova — conducted presentation events at five secondary schools in Tashkent and at the Russian Cultural Center of Uzbekistan. Students from grades 9 to 11 received detailed information about the university’s most sought-after education programs and learned about the unique opportunities students enjoy at RTU MIREA. They also received guidance on the admission process within the quota set by the Russian Government for foreign citizens and stateless persons, application deadlines, as well as information on the Olympiads and conferences open to foreign applicants.
Deputy Director I.A. Kartashova led master classes for 10th graders on “Natural Helpers,” “What Ink Reveals: Secrets of Paper Chromatography,” and “Chemistry: Magic Turned into Science” as part of the exhibition and fair “Russian Education — Tashkent 2025.” Students learned about natural indicators, methods of separating and purifying chemical substances, and how chemistry can be applied to everyday life. They performed hands-on experiments to determine how the color of a natural indicator depends on pH, to separate marker ink components, and to create colorful dyes from everyday substances.
These presentations served as an important platform for establishing partnerships with Tashkent schools, and for promoting RTU MIREA’s research and education.
