RTU MIREA Hosts Delegation from Jinggangshan University

On November 7, RTU MIREA welcomed a delegation from Jinggangshan University, a major classical university in China founded in 1958, located in Ji’an city in Jiangxi province.

The delegation was hosted by First Vice-Rector Nikolai Ivanovich Prokopov, Head of International Relations Aleksandra Yevgenyevna Sizemina, Head of Research and Development Andrei Alekseyevich Amelyonkov, and Director of the Nauka Project Office Gennady Leonidovich Artamonov.

The Chinese delegation was led by University President Luo Xiubiao along with his assistant Han Yunwei, Dean of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Zheng Dateng, Deputy Dean of Electronic and Information Engineering Tang Weidong, and Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges Su Xiaohe.

Opening the meeting, First Vice-Rector Prokopov thanked the guests for their visit and interest in RTU MIREA, and shared the university’s history, achievements in science, megaprojects, industrial partnerships, and participation in the federal projects “Priority-2036” and “Advanced Engineering Schools.”

Mr. Luo expressed gratitude for the hospitality and noted the similarities between the two universities, which can encourage diverse cooperation, such as developing joint educational programs or setting up joint research teams. The delegation then toured RTU MIREA’s Institute of Artificial Intelligence (IAI) and Institute of Information Technologies (IIT). IAI Scientific Director Mikhail Petrovich Romanov and IIT Director Andrei Sergeyevich Zuyev shared their research directions and organization of studies.

After the visit, both sides committed to developing proposals for mutually beneficial cooperation to enable academic exchanges and joint projects in science and in training specialists with advanced expertise for both countries.
