RTU MIREA Represented at the 2nd All-Russian Conference “Russian Language in the Modern Scientific and Educational Space”

On October 22–23, the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) hosted the Second All-Russian Conference with International Participation “Russian Language in the Modern Academic Space,” dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Professor Serafima Alekseyevna Khavronina.

The event brought together scholars from 18 countries and 29 Russian universities. Among the co-organizers were Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Saint Petersburg State University, and Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Professor Khavronina herself addressed the conference participants, wishing them success in promoting the Russian language and culture around the world through friendship and professional collaboration.

Professor Rafael Tirado Guzmán (University of Granada, Spain) took part in person, presenting his newly published book “Russian Grammar in the Mirror of the Spanish Language.”

Warm greetings and reports were also delivered online by Professor Elena Markova (University of Economics, Bratislava, Slovakia), Shaima Tamer Hasan Al-Anbagi (Tikrit University, Iraq), Elena Yeltsova (University of Carthage, Tunisia), Mekhrinisso Nagzibekova (Tajik National University, Tajikistan), and Manetou Ndiaye (Cheikh Anta Diop University, Senegal).

RTU MIREA was represented by Dr. Elena Tarasova, Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language at the Institute of International Education, who presented the paper “The Grammatical and Semantic Aspects of Teaching Russian to Chinese Students: From the Methodological Legacy of S.A. Khavronina.”
