On September 6, Minsk, Belarus, hosted “NAUKA 0+,” a major international science outreach festival. Its participants included the RTU MIREA Student Research Society, which presented some of the latest achievements in contemporary Russian science.
This year, the festival took place at the Botanical Garden of Belarus’s National Academy of Sciences. It welcomed 38,000 visitors and featured 170 organizations, including top educational and research centers along with technology companies from Russia, Belarus, and other countries.
The festival’s program included lectures by renowned scientists, workshops, and meetings. RTU MIREA set up an original exhibition organized by the Directorate of Student Research Programs and the Student Research Society, with the support of research teams from the Artificial Intelligence Institute, the Information Technologies Institute, the Management Technologies Institute, and the Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies.
Festival guests explored unique bioluminescent bacteria collected and isolated by students during a scientific expedition to the Arctic. Robot dogs became a clear favorite of the public, drawing enthusiastic attention. In addition to the scientific show, visitors could also take part in a financial literacy workshop.
Soon, RTU MIREA’s student science will be showcased again — this time at the All-Russian “NAUKA 0+” Festival in Moscow.
