RTU MIREA – Russian Technological University welcomed a delegation from the National Olympic Committee of Indonesia, headed by its president, Oktohari Raja Sapta.
Representing RTU MIREA at the meeting were Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs Igor Aleksandrovich Tarasov, Deputy First Vice-Rector Irina Sergeyevna Solunova, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Institute Shamil Gasanguseinovich Magomedov, and Head of the International Relations Office Aleksandra Yevgenyevna Sizemina.
The delegation was given tours of the Center for Esports Robotics and the Interdepartmental Specialized Educational and Research Laboratory “Intelligent Autonomous and Multi-Agent Robotic Systems.”
Professor Aleksei Mikhailovich Romanov of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence introduced the guests to the Esports Robotics Center, which offers a safe environment for training and piloting multirotor drones, as well as lab assignments on autonomous control of small drones. He emphasized that the center’s modern equipment allows students and researchers not only to model various flight and control scenarios but also to test new algorithms in real-world conditions.
Shamil Gasanguseinovich Magomedov presented the “Intelligent Autonomous and Multi-Agent Robotic Systems” megalaboratory, which enables the development and implementation of RTU MIREA’s fundamental and applied research in intelligent robot control.
The delegation praised the laboratories’ high-tech equipment and expressed strong interest in future cooperation and exchange of developments in smart robot control systems.
At the conclusion of the visit, the sides discussed opportunities for joint projects in education, technology, and sports, as well as plans for summer schools and various exchanges.
Oktohari Raja Sapta’s visit was an important step in establishing a partnership between RTU MIREA and the National Olympic Committee of Indonesia, opening new avenues for collaboration in sports, innovation, and the strengthening of international ties between Russia and Indonesia.© 2025 MIREA - Russian Technological University
